The Scorecard shows how House legislators voted on 24 critical roll call votes in 2009 and 2010. There are approximately 12 social issue votes, and 12 fiscal issue votes. Scores are calculated as a percentage based on the adjusted number of favorable votes. If a legislator was absent for a vote, it does not count as a negative. Note that legislators with a high non-vote count may not really have political stances that are implied by the percentage score. That is a side effect of a high non-vote count that should be factored into your assessment of the legislator's record.
